Way back, before I had a blog I made my first pair of socks. The year was 2004, month, October. My Grannie had died a couple of months before, and she did all my socks. I was the only grandchild who requested knitted socks for a gift when asked (even as an adult). And then she died. My supply of socks was running out. I had to do it myself. I hadnīt knitted for 15 years and I hadn't knitted a sock. And I couldn't ask Grannie. I had to teach myself. I found a great book at the library (I sadly don't remember the name) and I talked to Mum over the phone and talked to my co-workers and after a while I had something that looked like a sock. And after a week I had a pair. They are not the prettiest of socks. But they are my first. And I wear them in public!

My second pair looked better, but I had problems with the heel and the thing with picking up stitches. You reconize the holes.. After a couple of socks I began to use diffrent colours in the same sock (but still the same pattern!)

I still use this pattern when I want a fast knitted project and a new pair of a pair of regular socks!
